REQUIREMENTS TO ORIGINAL LAYOUTS
1. Carriers:
floppy disk 3.5, CD-R, CD-RW.
All the carriers must be formatted for IBM PC
2. Programmes
Corel DRAW - (for PC platform only);
Adobe Illustrator
Adobe Photoshop
A layout in other programmes can be accepted only after coordination with a designer.
3. Types for all the formats of vector graphics should be transformed into curves. In Photoshop programme types should be transformed into paths. Types for publication should be attached in a separate folder. All enclosed raster images should be recorder on the carrier as separate files with a zoom of 1:1. Raster images are to be recorded along with saved layers, masks and paths (without merging), with extension of 3000 dpi for photo images and pictures and 800 dpi for logotypes and scanned vector images.
4. The minimum thickness of the line is 0,3mm (0,4mm in reverse), 0,2mm for full-colour printing (0,3mm in reverse); the minimum size of the full stop is 0,3mm (0,4mm in reverse); gradients flowings in light parts are to be no less than 3%.
5. All OL should be followed by a listing with all the necessary sizes indicated (Colour listings can not be considered as originals of the colours).
6. If a further redesign or reprocessing of the OL is required the assignement is to be given in a written form.
7. Screened materials are to be provided in CIE Lab, RGB space.CMYK files (that is, colour-separated already) are allowed, at that, quality of the colour rendering when using flexographic printing will visibly differ from offset one.
8. When preparing the files for spot colour printing, all the colours of flowing and contours are to be specified as pantone using the scale of Pantone Formula Guide for enamel-paper.
9. Slides and photoprints are provided for scanning along with negatives and polygraphic imprints which follow a consultation with a designer.
The minimum reproducible thickness of lines will be indicated additionally after the coordination with company’s technologist.
